Following the success of the inaugural edition held in March 2024, the conference aims to once again bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss the future of transport across the African continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Transport research in Africa is shaped by the continent\u2019s <strong>diverse geography, rapidly growing urban areas, and complex socio-economic contexts<\/strong>. These conditions create unique opportunities for transport professionals to develop innovative research and practical solutions capable of transforming mobility systems throughout the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference is organised by the <strong>Centre for Transport Studies at the University of Cape Town<\/strong>, in partnership with the <strong>Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF)<\/strong> through its <strong>Mobility and Access in African Cities (MAC) programme<\/strong>.
