By Rector\u2019s Decree of 15 May 2024, \u201cAfrica Road Safety Academic Network II\u201d (ARSANet II) was awarded as a winning project of Sapienza Cooperation Call, with whom Sapienza University of Rome finances international cooperation activities with other athenaeums in developing countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARSANet II, which is a continuation of the first Africa Road Safety Academic Network established in 2021, received a total score of 47, among the projects of particular strategic interest. Its proposed activities aim to promote a dialogue among the participants and encourage knowledge sharing, cooperation in the conceptualization of road safety problems, and potential solutions in five African countries (Cameroon, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Somalia, and Uganda), and the research and analysis of preferred alternative solutions for the African continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The research Centre of Transport and Logistics (CTL) of Sapienza will be the project coordinator, by exploiting its experience in several projects with extra-EU partners, especially in Africa. In order to achieve the project objectives, the following three main activities will carry out:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Set up ARSANet<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Definition of the first programme of work<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. ARSANet website development.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
